ReplyDeleteCounty Parks owns it. For a while they helped the Long Island Greenbelt Trail Conference pay for staff. If you want to understand how important parks are to Suffolk County residents look at the SCP budget. We fund what is important to us. If we want it open, volunteers will have to cooperate to keep it open and relevant. It could be a place where we advocate for the care and protection of our natural treasures.
